The VR World Congress of 2016 was held in Bristol, the place where most believe will be the capital of VR for the UK. The show played host to a number of exhibitors while also featuring a tech track with talks presented by leading VR experts. According to hosts Opposable Games, VRWC intends to bring buyers, sellers and developers from VR and its surrounding industries from across the globe together.
In this year’s dedicated expo hall, the show was packed full of games and products from some of the world’s most innovative VR studios. Amongst them are AMD, Kite and Lightning, nDreams, Trinus, Coatsink and of course, the only team from China – Ximmerse!
At the show, we noticed there were a lot of demos shown on the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. As for us, we showcased our mobile VR input solution with demos running on both the Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard. The response and feedback we had on our devices were spectacular. We gained a lot of really invaluable suggestions on how we can make our devices better and were extremely grateful for that. Besides, we surely did not expect that many people to be present at VRWC (according to the hosts, the numbers we’re looking at was close to 600-700). Being our first ever show/exhibition in the UK, we must say VRWC was surely a success and we look forward to coming back in the future. Till next time!
