LAS VEGAS, Nevada – CES is a global consumer electronics and conusmer technology tradeshow that takes place every January in Las Vegas, Nevada. 2016 is the year XIMMERSE makes its debut at the show, bringing along their latest devices to showcase to the general public. At this years show, XIMMERSE had a booth at the Virtual Reality section which drew numerous leading VR developers, manufacturers, investors and members of the general public.
The devices demoed at CES was the latest offerings by XIMMERSE which saw its stereo camera and joysticks significantly enhanced compared to the ones used at its previous show - VRX SF 2015. The stereo cameras now boasts a wider FOV whilst the joysticks were even more responsive than ever. Another point to note was that the demos run by XIMMERSE were now on Samsung Gear VRs rather than on the Oculus DK2 headset. This shows that the VR input devices are now entirely mobile and extremely portable.
The 4-day event eventually came to an end but XIMMERSE promises to bring their devices to their next show, VRLA Winter Expo which takes place at the end of this month. Stay tuned for more!
